War of Genesis: Idle Loot Wiki
Know what each system does before you spend your resources.
War of Genesis: Idle Loot combines a desktop battle loop with equipment, character growth, and player trading. This wiki explains how those systems fit together. If you want an order to follow instead, begin with the new-player guide.
The core loop
The Steam store describes a 3D hero fighting and collecting loot in a small, transparent window on your desktop. You leave the game running, then return to decisions about equipment and progression. The developer lists idle farming, character growth, and player-to-player trading as the playable foundations of Early Access.
That description is about the game running in the background. It is not evidence that rewards continue accumulating after you close the application. Avoid treating idle play and offline progress as the same mechanic.
The game is listed as free to play, with in-app purchases. Its Windows system requirements and supported languages are available on the official store page. Check that listing before installing on another platform.
Characters and growth
The developer FAQ distinguishes your active character from the bonuses attached to characters you own. An Owned Effect can provide a stat bonus even when the character is not actively used. This explains why changing the active character is not the only part of progression.
The Training Ground and Ability Unlock are also growth systems. According to the FAQ, increasing their levels improves the probability of higher ranks appearing. The announcement does not supply a probability table, a guaranteed result, or an optimal spending order.
When changing to another class, check weapons, secondary weapons, and skills. The developer says these must be equipped again to match the selected class. The build basics guide turns that rule into a setup checklist.
Equipment and the Blacksmith
Equipment is part of the loot loop, but the Blacksmith is not limited to weapons and armor. The official FAQ lists these menu tabs:
- Equipment and Accessories
- Pets and Wings
- Runes and Jewels
- Refinery
These are menu categories, not a claim that every item can be traded or processed in the same way. Select the relevant tab and inspect the in-game action before using an item.
Auto-Combine is a separate inventory convenience feature. The FAQ documents unlock requirements and controls for combining equipment and accessories. Exact unlock levels and tier-specific material recipes should be checked in the current official announcement; they are not independently verified in this guide.
Marketplace and multiplayer
The Steam store lists trading on the Steam Community Market. The in-game Marketplace also has a collection flow: the developer directs players to the Storage List, then Claim, then the Mailbox. An item not appearing immediately in your inventory may still be waiting in that flow. See missing Marketplace items.
The developer describes Alliance Raids, World Boss battles, and a PvP Arena. The FAQ says World Boss and Raid rewards follow seasonal ranking settlements. Reward timing and character setup therefore matter, but the sources do not establish a universal best class for every activity.
What Early Access means here
Early Access began on September 10, 2026. The developer identifies farming balance, the trading economy, content, and convenience features as areas for further work. Planned additions are not the same as features available today.
Use this reference to understand the systems, the beginner guide to choose your next step, and practical tips when a menu or collection step gets in the way. If an update changes the behavior, newer official notes take precedence over this snapshot.
