War of Genesis: Idle Loot Tips
Small checks that save you a trip through the menus.
On this page
If something seems missing or stops working, check the menu flow before changing your build or spending again. These tips summarize the developer's September 14 FAQ. The troubleshooting order is editorial; the menu instructions are attributed to that first-party source.
Changed class? Recheck three things
The developer says that weapons, secondary weapons, and skills must be equipped again to match the new class. A class change is therefore not a complete configuration change by itself.
- Confirm which character and class are active.
- Check the equipped weapon and secondary weapon.
- Review the skills selected for that class.
- Only then evaluate how the new configuration behaves.
Do not infer that another class is weak from an incomplete setup. The build basics page explains the distinction between class equipment and wider growth systems.
Find purchased or retrieved Marketplace items
The official FAQ describes a two-stage collection flow:
- Open the in-game Marketplace.
- Go to Storage List and locate the item.
- Select Claim to send the item to your Mailbox.
- Open the Mailbox and collect it there.
An item waiting in Storage List is not yet in your inventory. Checking both locations before repeating a purchase is our practical recommendation, based on that documented flow.
If the item is in neither location, consult the game's support channels through the official Steam page. This guide cannot inspect your account or determine whether an individual transaction succeeded.
Use the correct inventory and Blacksmith controls
The FAQ places Auto-Combine behind a User Level requirement and an icon at the bottom of the Inventory. Its settings cover Equipment and Accessories. If you cannot find the feature, compare your current interface and progression with the official Auto-Combine answer before treating it as a bug.
For other item types, check the Blacksmith's category tabs. The developer explicitly lists Pets, Wings, Runes, Jewels, and Refinery alongside Equipment and Accessories. A missing option may simply be in another tab.
No specific combining recipe or recommended tier filter is asserted here. Confirm those details in the current game interface before processing items.
Steam Wallet payments and sound settings
Steam Wallet has funds, but a purchase does not work
The developer recommends checking Steam Overlay. In the Steam Library, open the game's Manage → Properties and check Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game. The official wording says disabled Overlay can prevent payments from processing correctly; it is not a guarantee that this fixes every payment issue.
Adjust music and sound effects
The FAQ gives the in-game path Menu → Settings → Sound for background music and sound-effect volume. Use those controls before changing system-wide audio settings.
When the interface does not match
This is an Early Access game. If a control has moved or a documented behavior has changed, read the official news feed for newer instructions. The review date below describes when we checked the source, not when every mechanic was last changed.
For broader context, return to the beginner guide. For system definitions, use the wiki; for equipment and skill configuration, use build basics.
Where this information comes from
Gameplay mechanics are attributed to the developer. Reading a video title or chapter list is not treated as independent verification.
