War of Genesis: Idle Loot Build Basics
Understand the pieces of a setup. Make your next change deliberately.
On this page
A build in War of Genesis: Idle Loot is a configuration to understand, not just a class name to copy. Start with the character you are using, the gear that matches that class, and the selected skills. Then examine the wider growth systems described by the developer.
This page covers setup fundamentals. It does not claim a best class, a tested damage rotation, or a verified ranking.
What makes up a setup?
The official Steam description connects character growth with farming weapons, armor, and gems. The developer FAQ adds an important constraint: changing class requires newly equipped weapons, secondary weapons, and skills appropriate to that class.
Use three questions to organize your decisions:
- Compatibility: Does the equipment and skill configuration match the selected class?
- Progression: Which character and system upgrades have you actually acquired?
- Purpose: Are you trying to understand normal stage play, World Boss, Raids, or Arena PvP?
These questions are an editorial framework, not a formula for maximum damage. The sources do not establish that one configuration is best across every activity.
Class, equipment, and skills belong together
The class-change rule is straightforward in the developer FAQ: weapons, secondary weapons, and skills must be newly equipped to match the selected class. Recheck all three rather than assuming your previous setup carried over unchanged.
The Blacksmith includes tabs for Equipment, Accessories, Pets, Wings, Runes, Jewels, and the Refinery. These give you places to investigate progression, but a list of menu categories does not establish their comparative power or a best upgrade order.
Before acting on a build guide from elsewhere, look for its publication date, the game version it addresses, and a clear explanation of how its recommendations were tested. A search-result title that says “best” is not itself evidence.
Growth beyond the active character
Two official FAQ answers matter when comparing setups:
- Owned Effects: purchased characters can grant stat bonuses even when they are not actively used.
- Training Ground and Ability Unlock: higher levels increase the probability of higher ranks appearing.
These explain why two players using the same class may have different progression contexts. They do not provide exact stat values or guarantee a particular roll. Compare what your own interface shows, and avoid treating another player's result as a prediction for your account.
The wiki keeps the system definitions together. The tips page provides a short check for incomplete class changes.
Before changing your setup
This is a practical review checklist, not a developer-prescribed optimization route:
- Record the class and the activity you want to understand.
- Inspect your weapon, secondary weapon, and equipped skills.
- Note the progression systems and Owned Effects available to you.
- Make one deliberate change at a time so you can understand what changed.
- Review the result in context rather than assuming a universal improvement.
When you are unsure what an item or menu does, consult the official source or in-game explanation before spending, combining, or dismantling. If you are still learning the game loop, the beginner guide is a better starting point than a build comparison.
Build advice is version-dependent
The developer identifies farming balance and the trading economy as ongoing Early Access work. Older recommendations can become inaccurate even when the names of the systems remain the same.
Our current source review supports the configuration rules above, not named-class rankings, exact gear affix priorities, or DPS claims. Check the official news feed before applying advice written for an earlier update. Use practical tips for a menu problem rather than changing your entire setup to solve it.
